CHAIRMAN  PHILLIPS announced  that Senator  Donley, sponsor  of SB
347, had a proposed amendment to SB 347-ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE TAX.                                                             
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR  DAVE DONLEY  explained that  the  amendment tightens  the                                                              
title to include specific reference to Section 1 of the bill.                                                                   
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR HALFORD moved to adopt the amendment.                                                                                   
                                                                                                                                
CHAIRMAN  PHILLIPS announced  that with  no objection, the  motion                                                              
carried.                                                                                                                        
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR HALFORD  moved and  asked unanimous  consent that  SB 347-                                                          
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE TAX as amended  be calendared at the Chairman's                                                          
discretion.                                                                                                                     
                                                                                                                                
CHAIRMAN PHILLIPS announced that  with no objection, CSSB 347(RLS)                                                              
would be calendared.                                                                                                            
                                                                                                                                
There  being no  further business  to come  before the  committee,                                                              
CHAIRMAN PHILLIPS adjourned the meeting at 10:54 a.m.
